Pavel Barbashev, a commercial director of O1 Properties, won a prestigious title «Person of the Year» at the XIX CRE Awards in the field of commercial real estate. The award ceremony took place on April 21 at the Barvikha Luxary Village concert hall.

Top managers and owners of key industry companies take part in the «Person of the Year» nomination. The preliminary list of participants is formed on the basis of the CRE 100 rating (100 most influential people in the commercial real estate market) for the past year. Based on an online voting a short list of nominees is formed. At the second stage, a professional jury of the award votes for the nominees. At the third stage, voting takes place directly at the CRE Awards ceremony: each guest casts his vote in favor of one nominee.

The victory in the nomination “Person of the Year” reflects the exceptional merits and achievements of the nominee in the professional field over the past period.

Pavel Barbashev has been working in commercial real estate for over 25 years. He has been working in the O1 group since 2012. 2021 was a record year for O1 Properties in terms of office rentals, with a comparable volume of new leases being shown only in 2012. The company has leased 155,000 sq.m. office space, of which 80,000 sq.m. accounted for new lease transactions, and 75,000 sq.m. – for extension contracts. The total volume of lease transactions exceeded the figures for 2020 by 55%, and the volume of new lease transactions increased by more than 3 times compared to the same period in 2020. At the end of 2021, the vacancy in the portfolio decreased by 2 times – from 8% to 4%. This allowed the company to take a leading position in the ratings of office property owners.
