O1 Properties And WWF Announce The Start Of Cooperation.

O1 Properties became a member of the Corporate Club of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Arina Slynko, Director of Communications of O1 Properties commented: “O1 Properties has developed a long term social accountability strategy. With the view that the company possesses a large portfolio of commercial real estate in Moscow, the key social projects will be energy efficiency and green building. “This is the first time we cooperate with the World Wildlife Fund and as a head start, we decided to join the Corporate Club. In the nearest future we are planning to undertake a sample test of the CO trace, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the investments into our energy efficiency projects”.

WWF Corporate Club is a membership programme, developed for environmentally conscious companies which are willing to support the nature protection in Russia. Partner companies are contributing to resolution of the most acute problems concerning the conservation of nature and are striving to make their businesses more environmentally accountable.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is one of the world’s largest charity organisations, which was established more then 50 years ago with the mission to protect the planet’s wild life. WWF implements more then 1,200 environmental projects annually, attracting the attention of millions to the wild life protection issues and searching for solutions. The history of WWF in Russia began in 1989, when the Fund’s Great Arctic Reserve project received state funding in the former USSR for the first time.

During the years of operating in Russia, WWF realised more than 200 field projects in over 40 regions, invested over USD 50 million in conservation and accretion of the country’s natural resources.

The Fund’s partners include: BAT, Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, Philips, TOYOTA, Yves Roche, Alfa Bank and others.
