Parcel giant DPD leases over 4500 square meters at LeFORT business centre in Moscow

August 30, 2017. Investment company O1 Properties has signed an agreement to lease office space at the LeFORT business center to the international express delivery and logistics group, DPD. The group brand is served in Russia by the companies DPD (Armadillo Business Parcel) and SPSR Express (both part of DPD Group) and the employees of these companies will work at the business center. The lease transaction was brokered by JLL.

The leased offices have total area of 4518 square meters and are located on the second, third and fourth floors of Building 8 at the LeFORT center.

Pavel Barbashev, Head of Asset Management and Leasing at O1 Properties, commented:"July and August have been busy months for us, shrugging off the traditional summer lull. We are glad to welcome our new tenant and we are confident that DPD Group employees will appreciate their new office at the LeFORT business center, where benefits include a spacious landscaped territory and good infrastructure."

Victor Sdobnov, Deputy Director and Head of the Office Agency Department at JLL, commented: "The decision at the start of this year to integrate DPD in Russia with SPSR Express was the rationale for consolidation of their offices in Moscow. A single office entails more efficiency by optimizing resources and reducing logistics costs. The result has been a significant improvement of the working environment for employees of both companies, while keeping their rental budget at a comfortable level. Also, ready premises with high-quality fit-out enabled the new tenants to move into the LeFORT business center quickly, as they required. "

Nikolai Voinov, CEO of DPD in Russia and of SPSR Express, said: "DPD in Russia has recently experienced rapid growth and development. The move and expansion of our offices reflect integration of the businesses of DPD and SPSR Express. The lease contract for office space at the LeFORT center is the next step in expansion of our business in Russia. More than 500 employees of both companies will now work at the Moscow office."

The LeFORT business center is situated in the renovated buildings of a former silk manufacture on Electrozavodskaya Embankment in Moscow. Main buildings at the complex date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
